Hi Michael,

Yep, that was a life. All the way to the David Hookes-like death! Great read all the way through. You bring Aussie life, its suburbs, its music, its people and its families into very sharp relief. Extensively researched, must have taken you a while to put it all together.

Peter Goodall. I’m pretty sure that’s the same Peter Goodall I knew in 1961 and 1962 at Mont Albert Primary. We were good friends during those two years and spent a lot of time together. But lost contact with each other when I moved on to Greythorn High School in 1963 and he, I think, went to Box Hill High. Have an old school class photo somewhere with both of us in it. We were also in the same Box Hill Scout Troop. The only musical performance I ever gave in my life - I’m a terrible singer - was accompanying Peter (who played guitar) on “Moon River” in some function rooms at the Box Hill Presbyterian Church. He was a very sharp, Elvis-rocker style dresser at 13-years-old. If you’re in contact with him please pass on my best regards.

Congrats once again,
